I am a white queer femme (she/her/hers). I put the therapeutic relationship at the forefront and feel strongly about being my authentic self in the therapeutic space. I believe in being anti-racist in my role as a therapist. I am genuine, warm, and caring in my approach. I have supported individuals across a religious spectrum and am supportive of utilizing religion in the therapy space when appropriate. I am currently able to provide therapy for individuals and families in California and Massachusetts.
You are the driver of your therapy and I will use what I know and my training to support you to meet your goals. In therapy, my goal is to help you connect to your strengths and the tools that you have in order to support your areas for growth. I believe in having an authentic connection with the people I work with, and I am committed to ensuring that therapy is a space where you feel seen, validated, and supported to grow (even when it's uncomfortable). I encourage people to bring their whole selves into the therapy space: identities, religion (if applicable), perspectives and interests. Together we'll make a treatment plan that works for you and get to work!
I have over ten years of working with complex trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, and substance use in individuals from ages 5-55. I prioritize meeting my clients where they are at and using their goals to direct practice. Theoretical models I use are: trauma informed therapy, CBT, narrative therapy, systems therapy, relational therapy, solutions focused, and expressive arts therapies in my approach. I am certified in TF-CBT and am trained in EMDR working towards full certification.
